Jane Derwent Obituary

Jane Lois Derwent DELMONT, Pa. - Jane Lois "Jaynie" Derwent, 48, who was born June 17, 1960, passed away Feb. 1, 2009, surrounded by her loving family. We have lost a wonderful and loving person and Jaynie will be missed by all. She was preceded in death by her father, Jim Horne; brother, Jimbo Horne; and grandmother, Marie "Gaw-Gaw" McGee. Jaynie is survived by her loving mother, Jean Roscosky and stepfather, Elmer Roscosky of Delmont; brother, Joe Horne, residing in Sedalia, Mo.; sister, Judy Fox of Delmont; nieces, Nicole Beiser and Mindy Horne of Virginia Beach; and nephew, CK Mitchell of Delmont. She is also survived by her loving companion, Jeff Sampson of Slickville and her aunt, Shirley Shirey of Delmont and numerous family and friends here and abroad. Respecting Jaynie's wishes, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Vaia Funeral Inc., 463 Athena Drive, Delmont, PA 15626, (724) 468-1177, with the Rev. James R. Wagner of Faith United Methodist Church, Delmont, officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jaynie's memory may be made to The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals at: ASPCA, 1915 Park Summit Blvd., Apex, NC 27523.
