Linda McGinnis Obituary

Linda McGinnis CHARLESTON, S.C. - Linda Tyree McGinnis entered into eternal rest on the evening of Feb. 3, 2009. Ms. McGinnis was born Dec., 15, 1946, in Johnson City, Tenn., the son of Walter Tyree and Anna Burton. She was the owner of Ocean Originals Pottery. She was a member of Folly Beach Arts Guild and a vendor for many years with Charleston Farmer's Market. She is survived by her father, Walter Tyree of Snellville, Ga.; one son, Lance McGinnis and his wife Heather of Loganville, Ga.; one daughter, Kelly Thiel and her husband Charlie of Folly Beach, S.C.; two sisters, Janet Childress of Hernando, Miss., and Sandra Pounds of Hoschton, Ga.; one brother, John Burton of Hernando; two grandchildren, Marley Thiel of Folly Beach, S.C., and Rachael McGinnis of Loganville, Ga.; two nieces, Heather Wright and Deborah Pounds of Winder, Ga.; one nephew, Josh Childress of Hernand; one great-nephew, Colby Wright of Winder, Ga. The relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial services in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Downton Chapel, Friday at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends following the service. Flowers will be accepted.
