Deshawn Stephenson Obituary

Deshawn L. Stephenson NORFOLK - Deshawn L. Stephenson, 30, passed away Jan. 31, 2009. He was born Oct. 21, 1978, in Norfolk and worked as a merchant seaman. He was predeceased by a sister, Paula Hill. He leaves to cherish his memory one daughter, Lolita J. Ingram; two sons, Cevaar R. Stephenson and William J. Ingram; his mother, Beulah M. Stephenson; his father, Theodore R. Stephenson Sr. (Ruby); three sisters, JoAnn Watson (Randy), Dorothea Ward (Ricky) and Felecia Murphy (Vincent); one brother, Theodore R. Stephenson Jr.; a brother-in-law, Joseph Hill; his fiancée, Yvette S. Thomas; and a host of other relatives and friends. A funeral will be held at noon Saturday in Gethsemane Baptist Church, 1317 E. Brambleton Ave. Pastor Kirk T. Houston will officiate. Interment will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Family and friends will assemble at the church. Metropolitan Funeral Service, Granby St. Chapel, is in charge. Condolences may be offered at www.metropolitanfuneralservice.com.
