Clara C. Sibelman VIRGINIA BEACH - Clara Cohen Sibelman, 93, died Feb. 19, 2009. She was a native of Richmond and was the daughter of the late Hyman and Minnie Kaplan Cohen, and was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Sibelman. Survivors include her daughter, Mildred Cohen and her husband Jerry of Virginia Beach; her son, Edward Stein and his wife Rebecca of Raleigh, N.C.; her stepson, Sy Sibelman of Wisconsin; three grandchildren, David Stein and his wife Pamela, Barry Cohen and his wife Heather and Robert Cohen; two great-grandchildren, Jordan Stein and Rachel Cohen. The family wishes to thank the people of Beth Sholom home and her caregiver Bonnie Mercado for their compassionate care. Graveside services will be held Sunday at Oakwood Hebrew Cemetery, Richmond, at 2 p.m. by Rabbi Daniel Yolkut. Memorial donations may be made to Beth Sholom Home of Eastern Virginia. The family will receive friends at 5248 Balfor Drive, Virginia Beach, VA 23464. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements. I was so very sorry to hear of the passing of your mother. I just lost my brother Nate and will keep you and your family very close in my thoughts and prayers.

I work at Beth Sholom and enjoyed helping take care of Clara as well as spending time with her.

She was a private but wonderful woman who shared some of her life with me.

I am thankful and grateful for her being able to have known her.

But most of all, she was a friend.
