Barbara Butler Obituary

Barbara Jean Butler NORFOLK - Barbara Jean Butler, 70, passed away Feb. 14, 2009. Mrs. Butler was born in Champaign, Ill., to the late Chester Hallinin and Ruth Appleman Hallinin. She retired from civil service after many years of service and resided in Norfolk since 1982. She was an avid sports fan and loved to read. Survivors include a daughter, Linda Butler of Norfolk; a son, Mark Butler and his children, Jon and Ben of Schenectady, N.Y.; a brother, Andy Hallinin and a sister, Kay Kessler of Indianapolis. A celebration of Mrs. Butler's life will be held Wednesday at 4 p.m. in Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home by the Rev. Robert F. Pittman III. A reception will follow at the funeral home.
