Billie Pearce Obituary

Billie M. Pearce PORTSMOUTH - Billie M. Pearce, 83, passed way Feb. 24, 2009. She was born June 21, 1925, in Portsmouth, to the late William Bennett McLeod and Myra M. Tippett. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Thomas Pearce Jr.; her son, John Thomas Pearce III; her daughter, Myra C. Sweet; her son, Robert Andrew Pearce; and her great-granddaughter, Katie Lyn Bailey. She is survived by her two sons, William Justis Pearce of Young Harris, Ga., and Neal Jackson Pearce of Fredericksburg, Va.; as well as eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in The Church of the Ascension, 4853 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach. In lieu of flowers, kindly make donations to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org/docroot/don/don or call 800-227-2345. Cremation Society of Virginia, Virginia Beach office, is assisting the family.

If someone asked me what word best discribed Billie I'd have to say ..Unique.. But then I'd have to add caring, loving, friendly, determined and last but not least very Funny. I will truly miss my friend. Pam
