Marie Williams Obituary

Marie C. Williams PORTSMOUTH - Marie Canady Williams, 68, of the 2800 block of Victory Blvd., died Feb. 24, 2009, in her home. A native of Portsmouth, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene S. Williams Sr. and a son, Dennis K. Williams. Survivors include one daughter, Gena Williams Palmer and husband Johnny; one son, Gene S. "Willie" Williams Jr. and fiancée Karen Young; one sister, Elizabeth C. Williams; three brothers, Corin Canady, Eugene Canady and Bill Canady, all of Portsmouth; and four grandchildren, Jonathan Palmer, Jeremy Palmer, Joshua Williams and Jennifer Williams. A funeral will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by Pastor John King. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. www.SturtevantFuneralHome.com.
