To the Thomas family,

I am saddened by the loss of Adrian. I had the privilege of working with Adrian for five years at Amerigroup and her lovingly feisty personality was like a breath of fresh air. I could always count on her for a smile, a witty comment and a dose of reality. She will truly be missed. I pray God will strengthen and comfort you in this time of sorrow.

Maya (and family),
I am so sorry to hear about your mom. Adrian was such a cool lady. I loved our conversations by the pool as you swam like a fish all day in Ms Judy's pool. She loved and adored you - you were her heart. May God ease yours (all of you) during this most difficult time. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

Wow, so many entries already. It serves as a great testament to the number of lives Adrian has touched during her years.

I was devastated to hear of her passing. I actually saw her just a couple of weeks ago at our local K-Mart, but regrettably did not take the time to stop and say "Hi". You always think there will be more time.

I have known Adrian for a couple of years. Our daughters, Maya and Rachel, attend the same school, and are in the same 5th grade class this year. But even though a short time, Adrian and I were able to forge a friendship and I will miss seeing her and that beautiful smile. A smile that could light up the darkest room.

She was an exemplary mother at all times when I saw her, and cared so much for her little girl. I will never forget driving behind her in the mornings at the school, and seeing her unforgettable license plate "Maya and I".

Please accept my heartfelt sympathy to all of your family for your loss.

Maya, even though you may not be able to see your mom with your eyes, she will be there with you always. She will watch over you just as carefully as she did when you could see her, and she will wipe your tears when you are sad. She will also be with you in the happy times. I know because my mom is in heaven too. Please remember and know that your mom loves you more than anything in this world, now and forever.

Adrian and I were recently reminiscing about the years we had been at Amerigroup (since 1999) and how we've seen many changes and people during our tenure. Family please know:

"He will comfort all your waste places; He will make your wilderness like Eden, and your desert like the garden of the Lord; joy and gladness will be found in you, thanksgiving and the voice of melody."
Isaiah 51:3

In the midst of tears and heartache...suddenly the Holy Spirit will send to you a sweet mood, like a gentle kiss, to touch your heart. May the father and creator of this universe give you comfort and peace that is everlasting.

"Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning". Psalm 30:5

Where do I begin?

Death can be very hard to accept however when you have a personal relationship with God, he will provide understanding, guidance, peace and comfort.

I met Adrian twelve years ago while working at Value Options. She was fun to be around and no matter what she modeled a bright sunny smile and would always show her affection with a big hug....bottom line she was always in good spirits.

God's divine design for Adrian has truly made an everlasting impact on my life. Her purpose and plan here on Earth has been fulfilled (job well done Adrian). She is absent from the body but present with the Lord.

We all truly loved Adrian but there is no love greater than God's love. My heartfelt sympathy and prayers go out to Maya, the family and multitude of friends that are grieving. Remain faithful and prayerful and seek God. He will strengthen you along the way.

I extend my heartfelt sympathy and condolences to you and Maya in the loss of Adrian.

Know that you are cared for very deeply and loved greatly by so many. We can only feel some of the pain you feel in the loss of Adrian. While we may feel helpless at times in knowing how to comfort you, the Lord knows exactly what you need. He will minister peace and comfort to you in many unexpected ways.

My spirit weighs heavy with acceptance of Adrian's passing.
It is said "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree". After meeting her Mom and brother last night, and her daughter last summer..I now completely understand why folks reference the old proverb.

Her smile and heartfelt laughter will be missed, remembered & cherished by all who knew and loved her.

"I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one, I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when my day is done. I'd like there to be an echo whispering softly down the ways, of happy times, laughter and bright and sunny days. I'd like the tears of those who grieve to dry within the warmth of the sun, for their tears to vanish in the happy memories that I leave behind when the my day is done."

Yes Adrian, You have spoken to our hearts and we hear you. Rest well my dear...you will truly be missed forever.

Mya and Family,

Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace
2 Thessalonians 2:

Because of Adrian's transition you are blessed with a Guardian Angel. I know she will watch over you and help guide you through this physical journey of life that is full of a multitude of experiences that will challenge you, cause you to doubt sometimes, but will also cause you to grow spiritually.

I will always remember Adrian for her wonderful smile, extrodinary personlaity and the ability to "keep it real".

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

Adrian was someone special to me. Everytime I went to the office (I work at home) I would make sure I went to see her to get my hug. I havent had to go to the office in a while so I had not seen her now I wish I could have hugged her at least one more time. She definitely knew how to brighten your day with her craziness and her smile. She always asked me to call her so we could hang out. She was by special buddy. I will miss her dearly

Maya--four years ago you and your mom came into my life. Girl Scouts brought us to the same place and time every week. You and your mom quickly became part of my family. We shared Thanksgiving dinners and most importantly learned to laugh and love. My door is always opened for you whenever you need. With the passing of your mom, one things will remain forever, I love you both and I will carry your mother in my heart for always. She was such a huge inspiration for me and I learned so much from her. She helped me to realize just how strong a woman can be. I know in my heart that she has installed her values into you and you will grow up to be a strong independent woman as a result. You have her smile and each time you do smile, you share your mother with the world. What an incredible mother, sister, daughter and friend your mom was. I will miss her tremendously. With love always, Miss Debbie.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Weep not for me though I am gone;
into that gentle night.
Grieve if you will but not for long,
upon my soul's sweet flight.
I am at peace,
my soul's at rest.
There is no need for tears.
For with your love I was blessed;
for all those many years.
There is no pain,
I suffer not,
The fear now all is gone.
Put now these things out of your thoughts.
In your memory I live on.
Remember not my fight for breath;
remember not the strife.
Please do not dwell upon my death,
but celebrate my life.

Celebrating a Life well lived....

Adrian aka Twistie
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Miss you so much...
Love your Twistie
