Veronica Zawacki Obituary

Veronica M. Zawacki VIRGINIA BEACH - Veronica Marguerite "Vera" Zawacki (nee Padula), 86, of Nashville, Tenn., formerly of Bloomfield, N.J., and Virginia Beach, passed away Feb. 13, 2009, in Williamson Medical Center, Franklin, Tenn. Mrs. Zawacki was born in Bloomfield, N.J., and resided there for most of her life. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter and her sister, Anne Lister. She is survived by her brother, James Padula of Belleville, N.J.; her sons, Jon and wife Terry, David and wife Elizabeth of Glen Ridge, N.J., Peter and wife Terry of Virginia Beach; her daughter, Karen Perrone and husband Alex of Nashville. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Jennifer Crowley and husband Kevin, Jon Michael, Melissa, Kelly, Sarah, Steven and great-grandson, Patrick; nephews, Robert Heron, Dr. Mark Lister and niece, Nancy Padula. She was employed by the Prudential Insurance Co. and the Township of Bloomfield before retiring. After retirement, she moved to Virginia Beach and most recently to Nashville, where she resided with her daughter and son-in-law. A memorial service in Arlington National Cemetery is planned. She was very dedicated to her family and cherished time spent with them. She will be greatly missed. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.altmeyer.com.
