James M. McCoy

James M. McCoy CHESAPEAKE - Deacon James M. McCoy, 75, of the 1900 block of Robert Hall Blvd., died Feb. 24, 2009. Born in Princess Anne County, he was retired from Haynes Furniture as a furniture finisher. He was a member of Mount Sinai Baptist Church, Providence Road. He was a member of the U.S. Army. He was predeceased by his mother, Hattie (Uzzle) McCoy and father, the Rev. John W. McCoy. He is survived by a spouse, Dorothy McCoy of Chesapeake; a daughter, Pamela Brown of Virginia Beach (Eric); a sister, Delores Ash McCoy of Virginia Beach (William Jr.); grandchildren, Brian, Michael, Jonathan, Erica, Shaquille and Tamia; and a host of other relatives and friends. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Mount Sinai Baptist Church. Burial will be held in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. The remains will be ready for viewing Monday from 3:30 to 8 p.m. The family will assemble in the residence, 3837 Forestwood Court, Green Run, at 10 a.m. for the procession. Carlos A.
