Billie Sanford Obituary

Billie Sanford Sr. PORTSMOUTH - Billie Sanford Sr. of the 700 block of Madison St. died March 2, 2009, in his residence. He was a native of Patterson, N.J., and the son of the late William Austin and Hannah Ruth Sanford. He was also predeceased by his wife, Norma Jean Sanford. He graduated from East Suffolk High School and attended Howard University. He retired from Electric Cooker after 20 years. He leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Billie Sanford Jr. (Caurletta) and Trinton Sanford (Annette); six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one brother, Dwight Drewitt; and other relatives and friends. There will be a private memorial service today officiated by Brother Soloman Darden Jr. Crocker Funeral Home Inc. is handling the arrangements.
