Margaret Simpson Obituary

Margaret E. Simpson PORTSMOUTH - God's Child, Margaret Evelyn Simpson, 89, passed away March 3, 2009. She was a native of Kipling, N.C., and was a daughter of the late William and Ida Faquay. She was a member of Western Branch Baptist Church and last attended the Portsmouth Assembly of God. She was predeceased by her husband, Harry A. Simpson Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Marlene Simpson Poto of Williamsburg, Va.; two sons, Harry A. Simpson III and Wayne A. Simpson and wife Elizabeth, all of Portsmouth; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Burial will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Odyssey Hospice at (757) 461-0600. www.SturtevantFuneralHome.com.

Dear Tonya and Family,
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your Grandmother! She was a wonderful Christian lady and a dear friend! I loved her and visited her often when she lived on Gay Ave. I visited her at Churchland House until she moved. Thank you Tonya for keeping me informed of her whereabouts! She will be missed!!!!
