Elijah T. Beddingfield

Elijah T. Beddingfield NORFOLK - Elijah Theodore Beddingfield, 83, passed away March 2, 2009, at his home. Elijah was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II and Korea. He also retired from civil service. He was a member of the G.E.A.S. Club and the N.A.R.T.U. Organization. Elijah was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Eva Maria Beddingfield; three daughters, Maggie Feickert of Kill Devil Hills, N.C., Shyril Hempel of Germany, Jackie Kennedy of Norfolk; seven grandchildren, Teresa, Susan, Michael, David, Carl, Jolene and Patrick; and three great-grandchildren, Michell, Darian and Dillon. A memorial graveside will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
