Frank Thompson Obituary

Frank E. Thompson CHESAPEAKE - Frank Edward Thompson, 82, of the 700 block of Norcova Drive, passed away March 7, 2009. A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of the late Herman and Gertrude Thompson. He served his country in the United States Army Air Corps and was a veteran of World War II. For 40 years, Frank and his beloved wife, Irma, lived in Babylon, Long Island, N.Y., before retiring in Chesapeake. Besides his wife, he is survived by his sons, John Thompson and his wife Louise, Craig Thompson and his wife Debra and Ronald Thompson and his wife Jo; six grandchildren, John Thompson, Michael Thompson, Dolores Thompson, Crystal Plyler and her husband Joshua, Daniel Thompson and Amanda Thompson. A funeral will be held Monday at 6 p.m. in Graham Funeral Home, Chesapeake. The family will receive friends following the service. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 4416 Expressway Drive, Virginia Beach, VA 23452. My sincerest condolences are sent to the entire Thompson family. I was very sorry to hear that Frank passed away. I have fond memories of the times my brother Doug and I visited him and Irma . He was such a nice man and will be missed.

My condolences and prayers to the Thompson family...I am Audrey and Irv Smith's daughter Donna...so sorry for your loss...I remember the Thompsons when they lived in NY and Doug and Ron were best friends...
Mr and Mr Thompson signed the guest book last Sept. when my Dad, Irv passed away...
