Helen Grant Obituary

Helen V. Grant NORFOLK - Helen Virginia "Ma Helen" Grant of the 6900 block of Pallister Road, was called home June 10, 2009, at the age of 88. She retired from Norfolk Public Schools after 27 years. She was predeceased by her husband, John R. Grant; four daughters, Susie Wiggins, Audrey Harris, Viola Thomas and Sheila Moore; and one son, Cleophus Brickhouse. She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Elvin Brickhouse Jr. of Richmond, Va., and Sharon Brickhouse of Norfolk; 36 grandchildren including one very special granddaughter, Anissa "Buffy" Brickhouse (Reginald) and her children, Jamal Brickhouse and Reginae Brickhouse-Willie; a very special great-granddaughter, Enjoli Hill; and a host of family and friends. A funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in St. Mark RZUA Church of Norfolk. Interment in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Graves Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

TO THE FAMILY OF MA HELEN (BUFFY) MAY GOD GIVE YOU PEACE AND STRENGTH TO ENDURE DURING THE TRANSITIONING OF YOUR LOVE ONE ETERNAL HOME.
