Hey Jude,
Every day it gets a little better to cope but i could never trust anyone to talk like we used to. I am glad summer is taking a little time to get here because it is helping me a lot. I
don't feel like I am missing our trips because it's been so cold. I miss you so much. My flowers you planted are huge this year. They were not like that last year. I love the purple leaves. Well, it's quiet today at work so I am going home early to eat some pizza and have a cold beer. I hope your family did ok yesterday for Mother's Day. I love ya girl and I must try to talk to you at home because people are going to think I am crazy..hahaha....I miss you so much
Dede
PS- I forgot to tell you I opened a soft serve ice cream shop right near the Arcade & Lamp Shop so I am done now...I promise....

well Jude, today is a horrible day. I just can't stop crying. I am at work and I cannot help myself. Luckily, it's a quiet day because everyone would think I was loosing my mind. But I am so sad today. Not a good day so I will sleep it off and hopefully tomorrow will be better. I love you and talk to you often. I hope I get better soon. The pain is enormous....

well Jude, we were supposed to be in Myrtle Beach but there's no vacation without you & I have no girlfriends so Myrtle beach is OFF. I miss you terribly. I wish I knew you were not going to be here because we would have crammed quite a few trips into a few weeks. I would have took the time off for you. Anyway some days are harder than others but I go a day at a time. I love you & miss you terribly and my life is so much different without my best friend in it... You rest, and you are now my guardian angel so please make this a little easier on me ok. I also hope your family is doing ok. I know they are having a hard time as much time as you spent with each of them I pray God will help them thru too. Love ya Girl I am still mad but I understand.God Bless....Your friend forever Dede

I had the extreme pleasure of meeting Judy when she came to New York with my sister, DeDe for a visit. She came out to New Jersey to see me and then we met again in the City to go to the Feast of San Gennaro and then again to B. Smith's restaurant. What a wonderful woman; most pleasant, eager to enjoy life amongst all people, and always with a smile. My sister will surely miss her and I send my sincerest sympathy to her family.May God bless Judy with eternal life.

Hey Jude,
I had a very difficult week because as you know we always have lunch either on tues or weds. whenever you are not working overtime so I decided I was going anyway but could not do it so those days of lunch are over. I guess I will fill our time in with a quick walk on the beach, we used to do that too but I will feel better i'm sure. I will miss you always & no one will be able to fill this void in my life. I do not have many friends and when I do I treasure them , as you know!!! I miss you and will have great memories forever in my heart. Keep watch over me and my sincere love to your family. Rest in Peace my dearest friend..

Judy was there for me at MCVH when I started my career in the NICU. It was her encouragement and guidance that helped shaped my career. She was thoughtful, sweet and calm. I loved when she would help feed our babies on nightshift. She will be missed. My deepest sympathies go out to Judy's family.

Dave said he will miss you. You were the only one that could sit at our table. You know how he feels. (LOL) When we got the news, Dave was heading back to Richmond but he decided not to leave me. I (Dede)closed the shop & went for a ride. The next morning I went to one of our favorite places. NORFOLK BOTANICAL GARDENS where we smelled the beautiful roses & watched the butterflies. It was peaceful. How did I get me in FREE????? It was only free when you were with me & had your membership card but I thought I was alone, so how did I get in FREE???? I know it was YOU.... I enjoyed a few hours at ROSE HALL and then I was able to go back to work. Dave & I will miss you sitting with us chatting. Your friends forever....

I had the distinct pleasure of working alongside Judy at CHKD. She was a caring and compassionate nurse who loved caring for children and loved life! What I’ll miss most about Judy is her joyous laugh. She will be remembered by everyone on TCU and will be so greatly missed. I’d like to extend my heartfelt thoughts and deepest condolences to Judy’s family during this time of suffering. May the strength of the Lord be with you and bring you peace.

I had the honor of working with Judy at CHKD. She was a respected nurse who cared deeply for her patients. She was certainly admired for outlook on life and will surely continue to bring a smile to our faces when we remember her. You are in our thoughts.

I met Judy when I had the honor of sharing her daughter, Cara, and becoming the "other mom". Judy displayed a love of life, a sense of adventure, and a devotion to her field of nursing. Her daughters have grown up to be caring and confident women with inner strength. I'm sure she's whispering to them, "remember me by thinking of others, laughing at yourself, and don't count your time-make your time count"
with love,
