David Bellucci Obituary

David Arnold Bellucci CHESAPEAKE - David Arnold Bellucci, 55, a longtime resident of Chesapeake, passed away suddenly, Wednesday, June 17, 2009. A native of Rochester, N.Y., he left to join the Navy after high school and was stationed in Norfolk, serving in the military as a fire control technician for 12 years. He held a distinguished career over the past 25 years with ECPI College of Technology as an instructor, network administrator and web developer and spoke proudly of his work with students, faculty and staff. David is the adored son of Arnold F. Bellucci and Greta L. (Bergh) Bellucci, natives of Rochester, N.Y., now residing in Albany, N.Y. He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Debbie Strong Bellucci. Along with his wife, he is survived by his beloved son, Nicholas David Bellucci, age 13, and his older son, David Angelo Bellucci, age 28. David leaves behind his siblings, Greg A. Bellucci, 57, William Bellucci, 54, and Gina L. Bellucci-Cassidy, 52, who each share memories of him and together feel the depth of his absence. Through the connection of both his immediate and extended family ties, he is lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews. Additionally, remembrance and care are felt by Nicholas's mother, Maria Sullivan, her husband Shane Sullivan and Nicholas's siblings, George and Sahara Rose. David is, and will always be, held in our hearts as a person of great commitment of character, intense love, devotion and loyalty of family, honorable values, a desire to touch others with his sincerity, humor, and wisdom, a belief in doing all things with excellence, embracing the love of learning, and leaving us all with an example of what a wonderful husband, father, son, sibling, friend and human being can be. The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 8 p.m. in Graham Funeral Home, located at 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to: David Bellucci Memorial Fund, Monarch Bank, FBO - Nicholas David Bellucci, 1101 Executive Blvd., Chesapeake, VA 23320. We know all our kind words won’t ease your heartache, but we pray the Holy Spirit will bring you strength and help ease your pain. And we hope you will find some small comfort in knowing that so many friends share your loss.

Dave was such an awesome person, and he was loved and admired by all those who knew him.

"Those we love don't go away,
They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear."
