Douglas Smith Obituary

Douglas Vincent Smith CHESAPEAKE - Douglas Vincent Smith, 68, of the 1000 block of Vanderploeg Drive, passed away June 19, 2009, in Sentara Leigh Hospital after a 9-year battle with multiple myeloma. A native of Cleveland, he was the son of the late Roddy and Dorothy Smith. Douglas served in the U.S. Air Force from 1963 to 1967. He is survived by his sister, Sheila Smith of Chesapeake. Cremation arrangements are made under the care of Graham Funeral Home. A private memorial will be held in Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Elephant Nature Foundation, USA.
