Margaret Howard Obituary

Margaret Ann Howard CHESAPEAKE - Margaret Ann Howard, 79, of the 2700 block of Garnes Ave., went to be with her Lord June 21, 2009. A native of Como, N.C., she was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence S. and Janie L. Beale and a daughter, Mildred Kaye Temple. Mrs. Howard was a member of Geneva Park Church of Christ and was well known for her many crochet gifts. Survivors include three daughters, JoAnn Lewis of Oregon, Carol Sue Tarkington of Chesapeake and Mary Jane Stark of Virginia; 13 beloved grandchildren; and 10 beloved great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held Wednesday, June 24, at 1 p.m. in Geneva Park Church of Christ by the Rev. Roger Marvel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. www.SturtevantFuneralHome.com.
