William H. Goodman SUNBURY - William Henry Goodman, 68, of the 200 block of Bosley Road, died June 19, 2009, in the University of Virginia Medical Center. Survivors include his wife, Vera D. Goodman of Sunbury; four daughters, Deborah Nowell of Sunbury, Rene Holley of Eure, N.C., Carla Griffin of Hobgood, N.C., Tonia Goodman of Elizabeth City; two sons, Darryl Goodman of Corapeake and Dana Goodman Sr. of Powellsville, N.C.; six sisters, Annie Smith of Plainfield, N.J., Shirley Smith of Suffolk, Mertha Gill, Carrie Goodman, both of Fayetteville, N.C., Peggy Walker of Gatesville and Joan Goodman of Sunbury; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in St. John AME Zion Church by the Rev. Samuel Buck Jr. Burial will be in Drake Memorial Cemetery. Hertford County Undertakers is in charge.
