Harry Williams Obituary

Harry John Williams Jr. VIRGINIA BEACH - Harry John Williams Jr., 85, of the 2200 block of Potters Road, passed away June 19, 2009. Harry was an electrician by trade, and most of his life he worked two full-time jobs. He overcame many obstacles to become successful. He was a hard-working, industrious, self-motivated individual who could do almost anything. His hobbies were family and work. In his last years, he battled Alzheimer's at Baypointe Medical Rehab. He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 ½ years, Elsie Smith Williams; four children, Elaine Wall, Jimmy Williams, Juanita Lutz and Johnny Williams; 15 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren with four more on the way; two sisters, Frances Ceslar and Vivian Marie Robinson; and two Chihuahua companions, Dandelion and Goldie. He was predeceased by parents, John and Lucy Johnson Williams; infant daughter, Dorothy; great-granddaughter, Ginny Ulmer; and sister, Stella Mae Whitehurst. A memorial service will be held at Black Creek Baptist Church Thursday at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church building fund, 34163 Vicksville Road, Franklin, VA 23851.
