Miles Coles Obituary

Miles E. Coles VIRGINIA BEACH - Miles E. "Alec" Coles, 80, of the 300 block of Terrazzo Trail, was called home to rest Monday, June 22, 2009. Miles was the son of the late Della B. and Miles D. Coles. He retired from the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air. He was a longstanding member of Lincoln Star No. 71 Masonic Temple, Pittsburgh, Pa. Originally from Corapolis, Pa., Miles returned to the Tidewater Area. He later joined Bethany Baptist Church in Chesapeake. He is survived by his wife, Ada Marie Coles; two daughters, Angela Fields of Norfolk and Sharon Coles-Mitchell of Charlotte, N.C.; and two sisters, Geneive Perkins and Ann Kenderson, both of Pittsburgh. A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 27, in Bethany Baptist Church, with services by Hale Funeral Home. Viewing will be held Friday, June 26, from noon to 8 p.m. www.halefuneralhome.com.
