Forest Miller Obituary

Forest W. Miller VIRGINIA BEACH - Forest W. "Foresty" Miller passed away June 25, 2009, at his home after a long illness, surrounded by his loving family. He was born Sept. 25, 1950, in Springfield, Ohio, to Robert Lee and Betty Ann Miller. Forest was a veteran of the Vietnam War in the U.S. Army and after the war retired; he then worked civil service for NAS, Norfolk. Forest loved having all his friends and family around him all the time and was full of love, life and laughter. He brought a smile to everyone's face, whoever had the privilege to know him, love him and just to sit and have long talks with. In addition to his parents, his loving wife Dorothy Miller, and sister, Norman Jean, predeceased him. Forest is survived by his son, Forest J. "Jamie" Miller and wife Sherie; daughter, Stacey Decker and husband Thomas III "Trey"; stepchildren, Tommy Gaston, Deborah Hamacher and husband Charlie, Mary Beth Taylor, Jennifer Taylor and Becky Taylor; grandchildren, Zachery and Skyler Miller; brother, Robert Eugene Miller; and sister and best friend, Betty Lee Combs. A celebration of life will be held Monday, June 29, at 4 p.m., in Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home in his honor. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Disabled American Veterans. You may pay condolences to the family at www.mem.com.

May Forest rest in peace, and smile down upon his family and friends. His pains are gone, but his memories will always be there in your hearts. God Bless. This is Jons mom.
