Rickie Tuten

Rickie D. Tuten CHESAPEAKE - Rickie D. Tuten, 53, of the 2000 block of Bainbridge Blvd., passed away July 2, 2009, at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center. He was born July 14, 1955, to the late Anna Marie Gorham and John A. White in Washington, N.C. Rickie was educated in the Brooklyn, N.Y., Public School system. He served as president of Berkley Staffing for seven years. He is survived by two daughters, Antoinette Booth and Tasha Tuten; his longtime companion, Joyce Turner; stepfather, William Tuten; one sister, Marian Goddard; two brothers, Elder William Terry Cobb and Xavier Swindell; five grandchildren; special cousins, Georgia Mae Little, Clara Talbert, Dorothy Boston and Joseph Gorham; two special aunts, Georgia Mae Gorham and Bertha Gorham; and a host of other relatives and friends. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Metropolitan Funeral Service, 120 W. Berkley Ave. Interment will be held in Washington, N.C.
