Mary Carroll Obituary

Mary A. Carroll NORFOLK - Mary A. Carroll, 55, of the 3500 block of Pomroy Ave., died July 1, 2009. Born in Norfolk, she retired after 28 years of service as a laundry attendant with Omni International Hotel in 2004. She is survived by her husband, Leon Carroll Jr.; a daughter, Torina Carroll, both of Norfolk; three grandchildren, Tequilia L. Carroll, Ty-kie D. Carroll and Taj Stevens; and one great-grandchild, Ma'kyah A. Whitehurst. She was predeceased by her parents, Dorothy D. Christia and Johnnie B. Christia. A funeral will be held Thursday, July 9, at 1 p.m. in Christ Pentecostal Church, 815 Wood St., Norfolk. Burial will be held in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
