Edgar Chandler Obituary

Edgar F. Chandler Jr. SUFFOLK - Edgar Francis Chandler Jr., 53, passed away July 2, 2009. A native of Queens, N.Y., he was the son of Mary Ann Chandler and the late Edgar Francis Chandler Sr. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from the New York City Police Department. Edgar was a member of The Basilica of Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception in Norfolk and a member of the Police Benevolent Association. He is survived by his wife, Marie Chandler; his mother, Mary Ann Chandler; one daughter, Misha; three sons, Jason, Brandon and Shawn; sisters, Delores, Kay Francis, Paula, Susan and Joyce; brother, Steven and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral will be held Thursday, July 9, at noon at The Basilica of St. Mary Immaculate Conception, 232 Chapel St., Norfolk, with Father Ernest Bulinda officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Lawn Cemetery in Suffolk. Friends may join the family for visitation Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk. I had the privileged of growing up with Ed. We will our Ed because when god made he broke the mole. He was the best brother-inlaw, friend and all around person. LOVE YOU ALWAYS!!!! My sincere love and sympathy goes out to all the Chandler & Chatman family.
