Allen Clark Obituary

Allen E. Clark NORFOLK - Allen E. Clark, 75, formerly of Norfolk, departed this life July 8, 2009, in Wilmington, Del. He was the son of the late Rev. Willie E. Clark III and Hilda Lamb Clark; husband of Barbara B. Clark; father of Lynne Clark Rozier (Spencer) and Kelley Clark Ntchombou (Francois); brother of Willie E. Clark III (Geraldine) and Delores C. Scott. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Clark Taylor Rozier and Kristine Ntchombou; a devoted brother- and sister-in-law, Leroy and Muriel Burks; a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. He was predeceased by his sister, Cordelia F. Clark. He taught instrumental music, retiring from the Brandywine School District after 45 years of service. He was co-founder of the Hilda Man Chorale. He was a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. A graduate of Florida A&M University, he was a member of the famous Marching 100 marching band. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 13, at Cornerstone Fellowship Baptist Church, 20 W. Lea Blvd., Wilmington, Del., with viewing from 9 to 10:45 a.m. only. Omega service will begin at 10 a.m. Burial will be held in Gracelawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Cornerstone Fellowship Baptist Church in his memory.
