Marguerite Cuthriell Obituary

Marguerite B. Cuthriell PORTSMOUTH - Marguerite Ballentine Cuthriell, 93, died peacefully at her home on Faber Road July 10, 2009. She was a lifelong resident of Portsmouth where she was born Oct. 27, 1915. She attended Wilson High School and was a member of Elm Avenue Methodist Church. Marguerite was the last of 10 siblings from the Ballentine family in Portsmouth. Her main interest was her large extended family of children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Marguerite was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Robert G. Cuthriell. She is survived by two daughters, Sara Jane Cuthriell Honaker and husband Robert and Marguerite Cuthriell Steen of Portsmouth. She is also survived by grandchildren, Chip Etheridge and wife Melissa of Madison, Wis., Judge Scott Etheridge and wife Angel of Asheboro, N.C., and Mary Beth Honaker, of Tucson, Ariz. She had three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held today from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Loving Funeral Home, 3225 Academy Ave., Portsmouth. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the cemetery of Churchland Baptist Church, 3031 Churchland Blvd., Chesapeake. Online condolences may be made at www.lovingfuneralhome.com.
