I was lucky enough to know her via my friendship with her lovely daughter -Kim. One of several memories I have of her was when my husband and I photographed Kim and Jeff's wedding. I have a great "video" of her in my mind of that day. She looked lovely, was laughing and really enjoying the people and the event.
She got a lot of "livin" in her years - beyond what most can say.
She is missed.

One liners! She made us laugh while laughing with us. She loved dancing, stimulating conversation, family gatherings, good manners, fine food, traveling, sing-alongs, friends and especially her family, both "real" and extended. Whether gliding across the stage or "Singing For The Cure", she gave 100%. She is already greatly missed 'though wonderful memories of times spent with her will live on.
Deepest sympathies and warmest alohas - Ke Akua Hoopomaikai Oe.

As the second oldest grandchild of Mrs. Skipper, or more affectionately know to us as Nana, i learned alot from her time here with us. She taught me that no matter what troubles stand in your way that you can overcome them with love and faith. My children, Niyanna and Treyvon did not know her well but remembered her and loved her. I thank you Nana for all your encouragement over the years. Your thought and prayers caried me through many a rough spot. I know that you are in heaven smiling down on us. Tell Pa paw i said i love him, and when i look to the stars here at night i hope to see your smiling faces and here your whispers of love and wisdom. To the family: I love you all and pray for peace in this hard time. God bless everyone.

To the Family,
We would like to say that we have not been blessed with knowing Mrs. Arlene as long as most of her friends but we do consider our self as one. She and I have had many conversations via emails, text and phone conversations. She was a very loving, caring, intelligent and spirited woman. I just wish that her two great grandchildren Niyanna and Treyvon could have gotten to know her better but her illnes prevented it. She will be missed and the love for her does not stop here but continues because her legacy continues as her family grows so shall she. God be with the her children, grandchildren, her other great-grand daughter and the remaining family members, keep one to the other and know she is Home where we all want to be.

To the family,

Let yourselves feel God’s love within you. Take that love and use it to help yourselves and others. In everything you do, you can rely in him and trust in him, because he only wants what is best for each of you and your families. You all are his beloved children and he will be with you all right now and forever.

Our deepest sympathy goes out to all of you in the passing of your mom. She was a great person. We will be forever grateful for her sending me the "Sunshine Box"; my kids were delighted and excited. She will be missed for her thoughtfulness and positive attitude.
