Anne Spain Obituary

Anne Z. Spain VIRGINIA BEACH - On July 14, 2009, our loving mother passed into the arms of our Lord. Born Oct. 17, 1933, in Rocky Mount, N.C., she was the youngest daughter of the late Paul and Annie Zimmerman. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Wallace E. Spain and son, Barry Nelson. Survived by her daughters: Cindy and Doug Nelson of Chesapeake, Lindy and Jim Harris of Chesapeake, Pam and Garry Hopkins of Virginia Beach; grandchildren, Annie Aldridge, Clay Nelson, Mary and Melanie Harris, Krissy Hopkins, Allison Elkins and Tori Nelson. The latest joy in her life was her great-grandson, Ethan Aldridge. Her life was spent loving and caring for her family; her presence in our lives will be missed. She has left us with many loving memories and wisdoms for us to pass on. A funeral will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. The burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
