Burie Bryce

Burie O. Bryce CHESAPEAKE - Burie O. Bryce, 83, of the 4000 block of Sunkist Road, died July 15, 2009, in his residence. Born in Goochland, Va., Mr. Bryce retired from NNSY after 37 years. He was the widower of Dorothy Bryce and a member of Community Presbyterian Church, Portsmouth, where he was an elder and trustee. He was a Navy World War II veteran and a member of Prince of Masons, Mount Gilead No. 102 (PHA). Survivors include his daughter, Teresa Bryce of Philadelphia; a sister, Gladys Holland; and other relatives and friends. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in Community Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Wilbur Douglas. Entombment is in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. Viewing will begin Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. in Fisher Funeral Home, 1520 Effingham St., Portsmouth. The body will be in the church Monday at noon.
