Jerry Broussard Obituary

Jerry L. Broussard CHESAPEAKE - Jerry Lee Broussard, 72, of the 500 block of George Washington Hwy., died July 17, 2009, in his home. Mr. Broussard was born in Orange, Texas, the son of the late Olan Gene Broussard and Geneva Clements Broussard. He was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church in Portsmouth. Mr. Broussard was a life member of Willis V. Fentress Masonic Lodge No. 296 in Virginia Beach. Mr. Broussard was preceded in death by his son, William Broussard. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Julia L. Broussard; two daughters, Ronda Woods of Chesapeake, Kim Maguder of Virginia Beach; five grandchildren, Brittany and Lindsay Woods of Chesapeake, Victoria Broussard of Chesapeake, and Autumn and Hunter Maguder of Virginia Beach. Mr. Broussard is also survived by a sister, Betty Mott of Orange, Texas, and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A funeral Mass will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2009, at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 34 Afton Parkway, Portsmouth, by Father David Cupps. Burial will follow at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Chesapeake Chapel, is handling arrangements. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.hdoliver.com.

Julia, Rhonda and family,
We are sorry for your loss and will keep you in our prayers. I remember Jerry always bringing me choc. candy bars when I worked at the bank. We Love you guys so much.
