Virginia Jones Obituary

Virginia Jones CHESAPEAKE - Virginia Jones, 88, departed this life July 12, 2009, after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, James Edward Jones and her great-grandson, Hunter Neel. She is survived by her two daughters, Linda Coleman and her husband George and Debra Henderson and her husband Clyde; three grandchildren, Sarah Gary and her husband Darrell, David Coleman and his wife Jennifer, Amy Neel and her husband Mathew; six great-grandchildren, Matthew and Jadon Gary, Sophia and Frankie Coleman, Meghan and Chase Neel; and many other friends and family. The family extends a special thanks to the Odyssey Healthcare Hospice team, Lorraine B., Chrystal S., Robin C., Brenda K., Judy H., and Mary J., and a most sincere thank you to Carmen Armstead, home health and respite care, friend, and companion without whom this journey would have been more difficult. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Cremation Society of Virginia, Hampton Roads office, is assisting the family.
