Lenwood Hines Obituary

Lenwood E. Hines NORFOLK - Lenwood Earl "Lil Boy" Hines, 53, of the 2400 block of Gosnold Ave., passed away July 13, 2009. Born June 10, 1956, in Tillery, N.C., to Roy L. Hines Sr. and the late Aray J. Hines, Lenwood was preceded in death by two brothers, Winfred and Leo Hines. He was educated in Norfolk Public Schools, was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of First Calvary Baptist Church. Lenwood leaves to cherish his memory three sisters, Mary L. Hines, Edith M. Wilkins, Katrina Hines-Anthony (Allen) of Norfolk; two brothers, Roy L. Hines Jr. (Pauline) of Clinton, Md., and Avery Hines of Las Vegas, Nev. A funeral will be held Monday, July 20, 2009, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Metropolitan Funeral Service, Granby St., with Minister Pearle Sharpe presiding. Burial will follow in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk. The family will assembly at 2704 Alder St., Norfolk, one hour prior to service for procession to the chapel. www.metropolitanfuneralservice.com.
