Virginia Schuchhardt Obituary

Virginia Mae Schuchhardt VIRGINIA BEACH - Virginia Mae "Jenny" Schuchhardt, 68, went to be with our Lord Thursday, July 16, 2009. Born March 31, 1941, she was the beloved youngest daughter of Louis Daniel and Mary Elizabeth (Anderson) Brown. She was a longtime member of Oakdale Presbyterian Church in Norfolk. Left to cherish many wonderful memories are her loving family including her husband of 37 years, Al Schuchhardt; her three sons, Chip Edwards and wife Adelle of Virginia Beach, Rick Edwards of Culpeper County, and Eddie Schuchhardt and wife Mandy of Norfolk; a grandson, Hunter Edwards; an expected granddaughter, Shelby Lynn Schuchhardt; a sister, Louise Sawyer; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Anne Weaver and Hazel Lupole; and her brothers, Dickie and Paul Brown. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Naval Medical Center Portsmouth for the exceptional care that Jenny received during her long and hard fought battle with cancer. The family will receive friends Monday, July 20, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, 1457 Independence Blvd. in Virginia Beach. Services honoring her memory will be held Tuesday, July 21, at 2:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with a graveside service to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4416 Expressway Drive, Virginia Beach, VA 23462.
