Marcus Williams Obituary

Marcus R. Williams VIRGINIA BEACH - Marcus Raheem Williams, "Muff" and "Rep," 26, of the 3600 block of Essex Pond Quay, passed away July 24, 2009. He was born March 4, 1983 in Seattle. He was a graduate of Landstown High School, Virginia Beach. Marcus served five years in the U.S. Navy as an OS3 where he received numerous medals and ribbons. He was predeceased by his sister, Kendra Monet Williams. He is survived by his parents, Alicia A. and Marcus K. Williams; two brothers, Baccari Rahmir Williams and DeShondis Tramaine Elliott; grandparents, Beulah M. Mills, Larna B. Bradford and Arthur L. Williams Sr.; godson, Anjuan Ameer Purnell Robinson Jr.; and a host of other relatives and friends. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Piney Grove Baptist Church, 2804 Holland Road, Virginia Beach. Pastor Todd C. Davidson will officiate. Family and friends will assemble at 3541 Mare Lane one hour prior to service for procession to the church. The family requests that condolences be expressed via monetary donations to the Marcus Raheem Williams Scholarship Fund. Checks may be made payable to Alicia and Marcus Williams, 3541 Mare Lane, Virginia Beach, VA 23453. Metropolitan Funeral Service, Berkley Ave. Chapel, is in charge.
