Steven Brown Obituary

Steven L. Brown CHESAPEAKE - Steven Leslie Brown, 47, passed away Sunday, Aug. 2, 2009, in his residence. He was a native of Portsmouth and was predeceased by his father, Bernard Brown; daughter, Tequila Demerly; and a sister, Diane Pluchinsky. Survivors include his wife, Dawn Brown; mother, Judy Hall; his mother and father-in-law, Eva and Tony Burton; two daughters, Breanna Benton and husband George and Jamie Lynn Demerly; two sons, Steven Hamilton and wife Megan and Wesley Demerly; two brothers, Brian Brown and Thomas Brown; and six grandchildren, Maddy, Nevaeh, Brennen, Little George, Gabby and J.J. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, grandfather, brother and friend. A funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel. Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. www.SturtevantFuneralHome.com.

Dawn, I am sorry you've had yet another loss of a close loved one. It's a small world -- my husband used to ride your husband's school bus years ago! I didn't even know exactly who your husband was, but Rick knew him long time ago. I'll be praying for you, girl.
