Donovan Colonna Obituary

Donovan R. Colonna JAMESVILLE - Donovan Rudolph Colonna, 93, husband of Evelyn Killmon Colonna and a resident of Jamesville, passed away Monday, Aug. 3, 2009, at Shore Memorial Hospital. A native of Bridgetown, Va., he was the son of the late George Samuel and Olevia Richardson Colonna. He retired from Wilson Trucking Inc. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, and was a 42-year member of the Exmore Ruritan Club. Other than his wife, he is survived by three grandsons, Jeffrey Johnson of El Paso, Texas, Chris Johnson and his wife Robbie of Vidalia, Ga., and Donnie Johnson of Jamesville; two great-grandchildren, Matt and Meagan Johnson of Vidalia; a brother, William Tyler Colonna of Onancock; and a sister, Georgia Colonna Arendts of Virginia Beach. Mr. Colonna was predeceased by a daughter, Peggy Colonna Johnson and a son, Joe Gale Colonna. The funeral will be conducted Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009, at 11 a.m. in Bethel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Judith Worthington and the Rev. Jack Pruitt officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Haven Cemetery. Family will join friends Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, c/o Mrs. Bettie Nuckols, P.O.
