Sally Anderson Obituary

Sally A. Anderson VIRGINIA BEACH - Sally A. Anderson, 70, formerly of New Jersey, died Friday, July 31, 2009, at her home in Virginia Beach. She was born and raised in New Jersey. She graduated from Keyport High School in 1957. She lived in California, South Carolina and Florida, but settled in Virginia Beach in 1998. Throughout her life, she was employed as a court clerk, worked with disadvantaged youth, but enjoyed her time volunteering and waitressing the most. She retired 12 years ago. Sally was a loving mother and grandmother. She had an incredible sense of humor and absolutely loved enjoying her time with her family. She had many nieces, nephews and grandchildren. They will miss her immensely, every day. She was predeceased by her parents, Frank Webb and Sarah Heyer Webb; her sisters, Lillian M. Webb and Betty M. Herman; her brothers, Frank Webb Jr., and Robert Webb. Surviving are her brothers, John Webb of Long Beach Island, N.J., his wife Claire and their children, Richard Webb of Abington, Md., his wife Tina and their children, Joseph Webb of Pitts Grove, N.J., his wife Marilyn, and their children; her sons, Buddy Anderson Jr. of Virginia Beach, James Anderson of Rhode Island, his wife Brenda and her children Jessica, Martha, Matthew; her daughter, Cheryl St. John and her husband Glenn of Virginia Beach; her grandchildren, James Anderson II and Christopher Anderson of Moncks Corner, S.C., and William G. St. John II, Ian G. St. John, and Sarah Grace St. John of Virginia Beach. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1489 Laskin Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23451. An additional memorial service will be held in September in New Jersey. Information will be posted in The Asbury Park Press for details. Cremation Society of Virginia, Hampton Roads office, is assisting the family. Online condolences may be made at www.cremate.org.
