Wilson Florance Obituary

Wilson W. Florance Jr. CHESAPEAKE - Wilson W. "Sonny" Florance Jr., 71, a loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2009. Born in Bluemont, Va., he was the son of the late Wilson W. Florance Sr. and Alma Marie Vorous Florance. Sonny was most recently employed with the City of Virginia Beach. Survivors include his wife, Judy Florance of Chesapeake; a daughter, Terrie Conner and husband Thomas of Yorktown, Va.; a son, Kenneth Florance and wife Melissa of Santa Cruz, Calif.; a stepson, Gregory Florance of Virginia Beach; and seven grandchildren, Brittany, Dylan, Kyle, Tatum, Madison, Carly and Emily. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 621 Cedar Road, Chesapeake. Memorial donations may be made to Prince of Peace Catholic Church or to the Chesapeake Fire and Rescue Squad. Friends are also invited to send condolences and sign the online guestbook at www.omanfh.com.
