Claire Tucker

Claire B. Tucker SUFFOLK - Claire Bradshaw Tucker, 83, died Aug. 11, 2009, at Lake Prince Woods. Born in Nansemond County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Lafayette and Josie Irene H. Bradshaw. She was the widow of her husband of 54 years, William Percy Tucker, and a sister of the late Sadie B. Copeland and Lafayette Bradshaw Jr. Mrs. Tucker was employed as secretary for the Community College System. She was a member of Liberty Spring Christian Church. Survivors include her daughter, Susan Garrett and husband Jim of Suffolk and nephew, T. Graham Copeland of Franklin. A funeral will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. at the graveside in Liberty Spring Christian Church Cemetery by the Rev. Allen Lancaster. A memorial services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Portsmouth Center at Lake Prince Woods by the Rev. Mary Henderson.
