Thelma Gordon Obituary

Thelma P. Gordon PORTSMOUTH - Thelma P. Gordon ascended peacefully Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009, after a brief illness. She was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, Portsmouth. Thelma began her civil service career at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard Supply Department and retired as a property administrator from SUPSHIP in Portsmouth. She was predeceased by her husband, David Gordon. She leaves to mourn her memory a daughter, Ms. Sabina Gordon of Chesapeake; one sister, Mrs. Clarecee P. Schell of Greenville, S.C.; nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral will be held today at 1 p.m. in St. James Episcopal Church, 928 Effingham St., Portsmouth. Corprew Funeral Home is in charge.

Dear Sabina,
Our hearts were saddened when we read of the passing of Ms.Thelma. Del and I will always remember our next door neighbors in Norcom Park.
