Judy Key Obituary

Judy L. Hoffman Key VIRGINIA BEACH - Judy L. Hoffman Key, 60, passed on to be with her Lord Aug. 12, 2009. Born April 3, 1949, in Waukegan, Ill., to the late Gerard and Mary Hoffman, she was a 37-year resident of Virginia Beach. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Richard Hoffman. She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Joseph Key; her stepmother, Rose Marie Hoffman; four children, Melissa Paitsel (Edwin) of Portsmouth, Jennifer McChesney (Michael) of Yorktown, Scott Roppolo (Beth) of Metairie, La., Amanda Hawkes (Marcial) of Virginia Beach; and eight grandchildren, Hunter and Hannah Paitsel, Kayla and Cole Dollar, Talan and Brayden Roppolo, and Joseph and Maddison Hawkes. A private service will be held Aug. 18 for family and close friends. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society. Altmeyer Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
