Scott Allen Neill VIRGINIA BEACH - Scott Allen Neill, 40, of Virginia Beach, passed away suddenly Aug. 15, 2009. A native of Ashtabula, Ohio, he retired from the United States Navy after 20 years as a Navy Seal. He was the recipient of two Bronze Stars with Valor served from 1993-2001 at Seal Team II and from 2001-2006 at NSWDG with numerous deployments to Afghanistan, Kuwait and Iraq. He had been employed with Osen-Hunter Group as a Security Specialist for two years. He is survived by his daughter, Aidan Nicole Neill of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Helen Bays of Cleveland, Ohio, and Kimberley Oberhause of Gibsonburg, Ohio; his mother, Colleen Artress of Ashtabula, Ohio; his companion, Jenny Hafner and numerous cousins, nephews, aunts, uncles and his Team Brothers. A memorial service will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. at Little Creek Amphibious Base Chapel with Chaplain Tim Springer officiating. A graveside service with military honors will be held at Colonial Grove Memorial Park Friday at 1 p.m. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel, Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
