Wayne and family, Rob told us about the loss of your dad. Our hearts go out to you and yours at this time. We know there are not a lot of comforting words we can say right now but just know that you are affectionately in our thoughts and prayers.

I am shocked to see Mr. Godwin passed. My sister informed me today when she saw the obituary in the paper.

I will remember him as a humorous/hard working man. He always made me feel welcome when Wayne and I stopped by the house. I am so sorry for your loss.

Lauren,

I thought this poem would be perfect in loving memory of your PaPa.

The Broken Chain

We knew little that day, God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly. In death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you. You did not go alone, for part of us went with you the day God called you home. You left us beautiful memories. Your love is still our guide, and though we cannot see you. You are always at our side. Our Family Chain is broken, and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one. The Chain Will Link Again.

With My Deepest Sympathy,
Love, Nanny
