Andrew Mullins Obituary

Andrew J. Mullins CHESAPEAKE - Andrew Jackson Mullins, 82, passed away Monday, Aug. 24, 2009. He was a native of Henry County, Virginia, and was a son of the late Lee and Naomi Mullins. He retired from the U.S. Coast Guard and was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Chief Warrant Officers Associations for many years. He is survived by his wife, Hattie Lou Mullins; four sons, David A. Mullins and wife Pamela Westbrook, J. Kerry and wife Kathy, Michael L. Mullins and Jeffrey P. Mullins; a sister, Virginia Tyson of Martinsville, Va.; a brother, H.C. Mullins of Richmond, Va.; and three grandchildren, Katherine, Christopher and Amanda. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, Wednesday from 7 to 8 p.m. www.SturtevantFuneralHome.com.
