Mike Redmon Jr. CHESAPEAKE - David Michael "Mike" Redmon Jr., 47, of the 400 block of Plummer Drive, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Aug. 30, 2009. Mike was an iron worker by trade and a member of Iron Workers Local 79. He was a graduate of Deep Creek High School Class of 1980 and a member of Deep Creek Baptist Church. Mike was an avid military history buff who had a passion for music of all kinds and a great appreciation of nature. Nothing made him any happier than a day spent outside enjoying the beauty of nature, listening to music or shooting at targets. Mike had a great heart of love for his family. He is survived by a son, D. Michael Redmon III; his parents, David and Frankie Redmon Sr.; two sisters, Robynne Redmon and husband Jim Clinkscales, and Autumn Redmon; and a niece, Lila Mae Redmon. A funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Larry Ryals.
