Patricia Tyson Obituary

Patricia Spruill Tyson CHESAPEAKE - Patricia Spruill Tyson, 68, of Chesapeake, went to be with our Lord Aug. 29, 2009. She was a member of Mount Tabor Freewill Baptist Church. Ms. Tyson was preceded in death by her husband, Fred F. Tyson Jr. She was the daughter of the late Elbert Spruill and Beedie Spruill of Roper, N.C. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Donald Spruill. Survivors include her daughter, Tina Tyson and husband Paul Kumpf of Chapel Hill, N.C.; her sisters, Diane Twiddy and husband Frank, Brenda Williams and husband Jack, Cheryl Williams and husband Roy, all of Creswell, N.C.; and Kathy Biggs and husband Marvin of Moncure, N.C.; her brothers, Jay Spruill and wife Patricia of Chester, Va., Jeffery Spruill and wife Inga, and Kenneth Spruill and wife Susan of Roper, N.C.; sister-in-law, Peggy Spruill of Kinston, N.C.; and grandchildren, Kristina Kumpf and Brandon Kumpf. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009, at Mount Tabor Freewill Baptist Church in Creswell, N.C., with the Rev. Kenneth Littleton officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Evans Funeral Home in Edenton, N.C., Friday, Sept. 4, 2009 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friends may sign the online register by visiting www.evansfac.com.
