Wanda Lovelace Obituary

Wanda L. Lovelace PORTSMOUTH - Wanda Lee Roe Lovelace, 81, passed away Monday, Aug. 31, 2009, in her home. She was a native of Greeneville, Tenn., and was the daughter of the late Toy and Minnie Roe. She was predeceased by her husband, John W. Lovelace and a daughter, Karen Lovelace. She is survived by her daughter, Mary K. Rust and husband Thomas of Portsmouth; a son, Keith Lovelace and wife Barbara of Saranac, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Katie Rust, Kevin, Bryan and John Lovelace; and four great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Steve Bingham. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Portsmouth Humane Society or The Union Mission. www.SturtevantFuneralHome.com.

How sorry we are to hear about your mom. I have regretted for many years that we were so far apart. Bruce and I have missed the dinners out and card playing we all loved. John and Wanda were very special. You were blessed to have had such wonderful parents.
