Dear Lisa,

Michelle informed me about the death of your father, Danny. It is very hard to have a loved one leave so abruptly, however do thank God that you had this beautiful person, your Dad, in your life.

I thought of your father many times during the years. I would have loved to see him again. He taught me how to cook my first turkey (which I had left all the trimmings in the bag inside and he never told anyone), and the spaghetti/lasagna sauce that I still use to this day. Your father was one of the best and most kindest person I have met in my life. I know God has special place for him.

My deepest sympathy to all of you...God bless.

Dear Elisa,

I am so very sorry to hear that your father passed away.

I remember him to be a very good father. He was very proud that you became a Nurse. He was very protective of you and loved his little girl. He was such a great cook! He taught me how to make Chicken adobo. He was also proud of his Naval carrier and for the people he had met. I can remember going crabbing with him and he just loved pulling up the nets with crabs in them, He would say, "get the cooler…get the cooler…” I remember going fishing with him too.

I hope all is going well for your Mother during this trying time. I am certain she is a proud grandmother with all your children.

Do take care of yourself during this trying time in your life. As always I wish you and your family the very best.

We share some precious memories of your Father and he enriched both of our lives. Keep in mind that he will always be in your heart and the memories will keep him alive.

What a wonderful man! It was obvious he loved his family. I could see how he made your mom happy. I so enjoyed talking with him and hearing his stories. I liked how he would sit in that chair in the corner of Elisa's house and just enjoy watching his family. How grateful I am to have such a great man serve our country, also. I will miss him and his mashed potatoes, but I know I will see him again.
I love you all and have been praying for comfort and guidance through this.

Elisa,

I was saddened to read this morning's paper about your dad. I know that your dad (and your mom) meant the world to you! I still remember when he used to pick up Andrew from the playground. He would stand at the fence and watch him play! I would ask him if he needed to leave right away and he would tell me to let him play for a few more minutes.

My deepest sympathy to all of you.
